How a Life Coach can Help You

Posted on 02. Jul, 2009 by Mary Lutz in Mom Talk

A life coach is not simply for those who need extreme help, as some might think. A life coach is a trained and certified professional who can help you even in the “smallest” areas of your life. You might not think you need a life coach, or perhaps you think you can’t afford one. Let’s face it, we all have areas in our life that could be improved upon, if we really think about it. And, once we get help in those areas, our quality of life will be so much better.

One area I know I need to improve upon is discipline in my finances. I know how to budget, but I have a hard time sticking to a budget because of my personality type. Same with eating healthy and exercising. I have the knowledge in my head to eat right and I know I need to exercise to get fit and have total body wellness, but I lack the discipline to get out there and exercise on a regular basis. How many of you can relate? I bet there are quite a lot of you out there that can relate to what I’m saying.

In my personal life, discipline is an area I know a life coach can help me. A life coach can help by helping find the reasons you may lack self-discipline and they can help get you on a schedule or a routine that will help you be more disciplined and make doing those things you don’t like to more enjoyable.

Another way a life coach can help you is in the area stress relief! As mom’s we tend to get stressed out over some of the smallest things. I know I do! I tend to get stressed out when I know I need to get something done and don’t feel I have enough time or when I have too many things to do and feel like I have to get them all done now. What situations stress you out? A life coach can help you see what situations stress you out and how to deal with them effectively so you don’t get so stressed out. Then you can lead a more relaxed and peaceful life. Isn’t that what we all want in life? I know I do.
